The Boomerang Effect..(Again!!)

Yes I am going to write about my favorite effect. The Boomerang effect..Let me first explain what exactly is this Boomerang..
As per the Wikipedia page , "A boomerang is a thrown tool, typically constructed as a flat aerofoil, that is designed to spin about an axis perpendicular to the direction of its flight.
A returning boomerang is designed to circle back to the thrower."
In simple words , it is a piece of wood cut in such a fashion so that it returns back to the thrower after completing a round trip.

Here I am talking about the Boomerang Effect..We all know that whatever one gives in life comes back to him..or Newton's third law, every action has
equal and opposite reaction.

याचा अर्थ असाच ना कि जर तुम्ही आयुष्यात नेहमी चांगलाच करत असाल तर तुमच्या सोबत सर्व चांगलाच होईल..चांगल आणि वाईट याच्या व्याख्या प्रत्येकासाठी वेगळ्या
असतात..असो..तो आत्ताचा विषय नाही..

Returning to Boomerang effect, If one gives out the best , he should attract the best. Then why bad things happen to good people?
Why some of us do not get what they deserve, why does life look unfair to some of us? Why someone's life is filled with all the struggle.
Why does some of the best people do not have the best conditions? and so on..

Well the simplest conclusion will be , this boomerang thing is fake..Have you ever tried throwing a boomerang? Whoever has tried it will
say that it doesn't even return back..Then whats the point in even applying it to life. But if you meet an expert, he will be able to tell you that its
not the problem with the Boomerang , its the problem with the way you are throwing it..Change it slightly and you will be stunned with the result.

This simple thought was one of the best thoughts I had read ever..It's like one of those life changing thoughts!!

This is food for your mind too..Just imagine rather than denying the boomerang effect, isn't is better to go ahead and tweak our approach ?
The boomerang effect is valid irrespective of one believes it or not..Nay of us spend a lot of time questioning the laws of nature/physics.
Isn't it better to just think and refine our approach ?

एक तारा तुटलेला..

मधे एक कविता वाचली..बहुतेक हरिवंशराय बच्चन यांची आहे

खूप सुंदर वाटली मला..आणि त्यावरून जाणवलं , एखाद्या गोष्टीकडे बघण्याचा दृष्टीकोन कदाचित त्या गोष्टीपेक्षा सुद्धा मोठा किंवा महत्वाचा असू शकतो..तुटत्या ताऱ्याला बघून डोळे मिटून काही तरी मागणं या पलीकडे आपण त्या ताऱ्याचा विचार सुद्धा करत नाही..पण या कवितेत त्यांनी लिहिलंय..

                                                          यह परवशता या निर्ममता 

                                                          निर्बलता या बल की क्षमता

                                            मिटता एक, देखता रहता  दूर खड़ा तारक-दल सारा..

                                                              देखो टूट रहा है तारा..

आणि आपण त्याच तारक - दलाच्या त्या ताऱ्याला न वाचवण्याच्या दुःखावरती आपल्या इच्छेचे महाल उभे करतो..ती कविता वाचून मला इतकं वेगळा वाटलं होतं..त्या पडणाऱ्या ताऱ्याकडे बघायचे हे किती दोन वेगळे दृष्टीकोन..तसं बघायला गेलं तर अगदी प्रत्येक गोष्टीबद्दलच हे लागू होतं..

एखाद्या प्रश्नाकडे किंवा समस्येकडे प्रत्येक जण वेगळ्या अर्थाने बघतं..माझा एक मित्र आहे, त्याच्या बोलण्याचा अर्थ लावायचा प्रयत्न केला तर तो फक्त एक वाक्य म्हणतो "As you take it"..खरच जर समजा आपल्या समोर आलेल्या परिस्थितींना बोलता आलं असतं तर त्याही तेच म्हणाल्या असत्या..

सीमा , मर्यादा, boundaries, limitations

सीमा , मर्यादा काय मस्त शब्द आहेत ना..

खूप दिवसांनी या ओळी आठवल्या मला

खळ खळ धावत फेसाळत हा सागर उसळुनी येतो 

मर्यादांना उल्लंघुनी नव आव्हाना घेतो

मर्यादा पाळण्यासाठी का त्यांचं उल्लंघन करण्यासाठी? मला नक्की काय ते कळतच नाही कधी कधी..

हे अगदी सातवी आठवी मध्ये आई बाबा म्हणायचे तसं झालंय..कधी म्हणायचं तू लहान आहेस अजून आणि कधी म्हणायचं आता मोठी झालीयेस तू ..

खर तर ते आत्ता सुद्धा असं म्हणतात..काय ते ठरवायला नको का त्यांनी..

मर्यादांच पालन करणाऱ्या रामाची आपण पूजा करतो आणि सगळ्या सीमा ओलांडून पलीकडे जाणार्या संत मीरा बाईंची सुद्धा!! 

थोडं विचार केला तरी बर्याच वेगळ्या गोष्टी समोर येतात..मर्यादा या पार करण्यासाठीच तर असतात.. जर जगात राष्ट्रांच्या सीमा नसत्या तर कोणी कोणावर 

राज्य करण्याचा प्रश्नच आला नसता.. ती सीमा होती म्हणून कोणीतरी ती ओलांडून जग जिंकायला निघाला...जर चौकटी आखलेल्या नसत्या तर त्या चौकटीबाहेर जाऊन 

काम करणारी लोक पण नसती का?

 These days people are not talking about thinking outside the box. They are talking about thinking as if there was no box!!

No limitations..No boundaries..These limitations might be mental blocks that have created invisible fences or may be true physical limitations(there are not many these days!!).. 

No one had ever run a mile in less than four minutes, so this was a limitation, boundary, मर्यादा..but then Sir Roger Gilbert Bannister decided to change it. Once he achieved it , surprisingly many people could. It's like he stretched the boundary. When I read Michael Phelps's book No Limits, I had realized that limits are in our mind.

Not in our physical reality ( this word comes from reading Deepak Chopra :) ) 

तात्पर्य काय तर मर्यादा नसतील तर कोणी त्यांना उल्लंघून जाणार नाही आणि सीमाच नसतील तर त्याचा विस्तार करणे अशी काही गोष्टच उरत नाही..

The Dark Knight Rises!!

Yes me and superhero movie!! Since Avengers I am watching every superhero movie. I loved Christian Bell in the movie. He is superb!! Mr Bruce Wayne. The movie is a true perfection. As I have not seen any other Batman movie I don't have anything to compare.

I liked Batman and his character, the city of Gotham, the prison , most importantly the message "Determination".

It is the Determination Blake has that one day all the cops will be out.

It is the Bruce's Determination to get out of the prison.To do the impossible.

Alfred's hope to see Bruce in Italy.

The commissioner's determination to save the city.

The trapped policemen's hope that they will be out sometime.  

It's a beautiful movie and every single detail is taken care of. The gadgets, costumes, dialogues everything!! Here are some dialogues I really really liked.

"Be careful what you wish for."

It doesn't matter who we are...what matters is our plan. No one cared who I was till I put on the mask.

A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hasn't ended.

While watching the movie I remembered the text from Seven Spiritual Laws of Superheros by Deepak Chopra/Gotham Chopra. Now I can relate to that book. Do read it. It's a good read.

As a man thinketh!!

                                This is a true classic!! I believe this is the base of all the modern self help/belief/new thought genre.. The author James Allen published this book in the year of 1902.This book has got everything a person might need to live his life completely!! Hats off to Mr Allen. What a book!! I am just going to write some of the phrases from this book. Do read this classic.

Journey

आज मी खूप साधी गोष्ट लिहिणार आहे..
जी मी अनुभवली आहे..या आठवड्यात मी नवीन फोन घेतला..Finally!! २ वर्ष ज्या गोष्टीसाठी थांबले होते ती झाली..
सुरुवातीला जेव्हा इथे आले तेव्हा लगेच चांगला फोन नाही घेतला आणि मग कंपनीच्या पॉलिसी प्रमाणे २१ महिन्यांनी मला नवीन फोन मिळाला..

मी हे २१ महिने संपण्याची अगदी मनापसून वाट बघत होते..जेव्हा मी हा फोन घेतला तेव्हा मला समजलं
It is not about your destination, it is about the journey!!

I know a lot has been said/written about this Journey..But trust me, one won't understand the journey unless
one experiences it..हे मिळालं कि माझ्या आयुष्यात "stability" येईल..या गोष्टी झाल्या कि मी आनंदी असेन..
मी कित्येक वेळा म्हणायचे, नवीन फोन मिळाला कि मी असं करेन आणि हे APP वापरेन..पण नवीन फोन मिळेपर्यंत चा काळ,
हे २१ महिने..त्याचं काय ? आज कळतंय कि ते ही तेवढेच महत्वाचे होते..ते ही मी तेवढेच आनंदाने काढले..
खरच नवीन फोन मिळाला म्हणून काही आयुष्य बदलत नाही,व्यक्ती म्हणून मी बदलत नाही , तसंच आहे बाकी सगळ्या गोष्टींचं सुद्धा..
ध्येय पूर्ण झालं म्हणजेच आनंद मिळेल असं नाहीये..तुम्हाला सगळ्यांना या गोष्टी कदाचित माहित असतील
पण मी मात्र अनुभवातून शिकणाऱ्यापैकी  एक आहे..जर मी आज आनंदी नसेन तर मी अमुक एक गोष्ट पूर्ण झाल्यावर
आनंदी असेनच अशी guarantee आहे का ?


जास्त नाही लिहिणार फक्त एवढाच म्हणायचं आहे
It is not the destination!! It is the journey!!

अंधाराची गंमत

एवढ्यात मी एका ठिकाणी हे ऐकलं अंधाराबद्दल आणि त्यावरून जे सुचलं ते लिहित आहे..

भरून आलेलं आभाळ..मिट्ट काळोख..
भरलेले डोळे आणि त्याहूनही जास्त मन..

या अंधारात सावली देणारं झाड काळ
आणि त्या पडलेल्या सावल्याही काळ्याच..

मनातल्या पडद्यावरची स्वप्नं सुद्धा काळी
आणि त्यावर पडणारा पडदा सुद्धा काळाच

अंधारलेल्या या क्षणी स्वच्छ काही काही दिसत नाही
काळ्या कुट्ट अंधारात आरसा सुद्धा खरं बोलत नाही..

ओथंबून वाहणाऱ्या भावना सुद्धा गडद व्हायला लागतात..
आणि कदाचित त्यासोबत वाहत जाणारा सुद्धा..
