From the top of the world!

Yes literally the top of the world !  Yes Burj Khalifa it is !

Last week I visited Dubai with my family..The view from the top was mesmerizing! The fountain show and the sunset, lights and everything.. It was amazing. 

Some people say , you can actually see the curvature of the earth, well it might be true but I couldn't see it.. What me and my sister did was simply taking selfies! Well that was after looking around for some time :P

खरच एवढ्या उंचीवर खूप खूप छान वाटत होतं !

More about Dubai , its a perfect example of what a transformation is.. I gues after some years people might not believe that it was simply a desert at some point of time.. Its a place where you can spend a lot of money. :) So be careful!

Dubai was nice, most of our tour was tall buildings, lavish dinners, some shopping and most importantly a lot of pictures! 

We visited all the emirates of UAE .. Had some great time in the desert...One of the places we visited was Gold souq .. I have never seen so much gold at one location in my life! Its different. Everything is available in multiple sizes and you have so much variety to chose from! Its a paradise if you like to buy gold.

चंद्रभागेचे वाळवंट , दुसरे नकोच वैकुंठ
माधव भरला आकंठ , हासून नाचून !

मनात भरला विठोबा , मुखात भरला तुकोबा
हृदयी भरला ज्ञानोबा , हासून नाचून !

माझ्या खूप खूप आवडता अभंग आहे ! यावेळी अगदी चंद्रभागेवर जायची वेळ आली … मला वाटतंय कि मला अभंगच खूप आवडतो …

आजीला घेऊन पंढरपूर ला गेलो खरं , पण त्या पाण्यात … खर तर फारस पाणी नव्हतच नदीत … तरीही कित्येक लोक श्रद्धेने नदीत अंघोळ करत होते … ठिकठिकाणी विठ्ठल रखुमाई च्या मुर्त्या ठेवल्या होत्या आणि त्यासमोर उभ राहून लोकं फोटो काढत होती…कित्येक भंगलेल्या मुर्त्या त्या पाण्यात वाहून आल्या होत्या … कित्येक लोकांनी कपडे/केस वगैरे त्या पाण्यात अर्पण केले होते … बिचारी चंद्रभागा , तिला काय वाटत असेल …. अर्ध्या वाळवंटाचा तर "parking lot" बनवला होता … मला असा वाटतंय त्या नदीत अंघोळ करणं किंवा न करणं हा ज्याच्या त्याच्या श्रद्धेचा भाग … त्याबद्दल माझ मत काय हा विषय नाही …

मला खरं तर खूप वेगळ वाटत होतं … असा नाहीये कि पहिल्यांदा पंढरपूर ला गेले , पण दर वेळी मला असाच वाटत … tv वर आषाढी कार्तिकी ला पंढरपूर बघणं वेगळ आणि प्रत्यक्षात तिथला अनुभव घेणं खूप खूप वेगळ आहे …

Cleanathon!
What an initiative by ndtv! It was a very unique initiative. I loved the concept of spreading the awareness through media.
NaMo has taken one of the most important initiatives in recent years by making us realize how dirty we are as a country and how we should improve!

Lets talk about NaMo fever some later day. So people who are unaware of cleanathon. Here is little more about it. Many have said that cleanliness is not a one day job or cleanliness can not be achieved with start studded tv show. I am not saying that its a one day job or can be achieved with star studded show , just feel that its a good start!

We are crazy for bollywood and cricket. Someone just decided to use this craze for a good cause!

I should not be writing more as I haven't done anything to be a part of cleanathon! :(
