युद्ध !

काय सुंदर संध्याकाळ होती ! अतिशय वेगळी ...
आकाशाच्या रंगमंचावरचं काळ्या पांढऱ्या ढगांचं घनघोर युद्ध ... मधेच धो धो  पाऊस ..... थोडंसं ऊन ... आणि सुंदर गाणी .... बालगंधर्वाचं वद जाऊ कुणाला शरण ..... पुन्हा पुन्हा तेच सुंदर पद - वद जाऊ कुणाला शरण....मस्त!

घनघोर युद्ध सुरु आह आज आकाशात ! जणू काही ह्या युद्धाच्या परिणामावर आयुष्य अवलंबून आहे अनेकांचं ! ना भूतो ना भविष्यती .... अस म्हणणं चुकीचं ठरेल .... काळे- पांढरे ढग ... आपापली खिंड लढवतायत .... एखाद्या लढाईत पांढरे ढग जिंकून आपल्या सीमा विस्तारित करतायत तर दुसरीकडे काळे मेघ आपली शक्ती दाखवतयात .... कुणी कमी नाही आणि कुणी जास्ती नाही .... घनघोर युद्ध चालू आहे. आणि त्यातच माझं मन म्हणताय वद जाऊ कुणाला शरण ? हे तुमच्या लढाईचं संकट नको मला ....पण ढगांच्या मनात फक्त जिंकण्याचे वेध ...

कोसळणारा पाऊस मधेच पूर्णपणे बंद होतो , आणि काही मिनिटातच पुन्हा बरसू लागतो .... कदाचित पाऊस ढगांची विजय गर्जना असेल...  एखादी छोटी लढाई जिंकली कि पाऊस. पण पुन्हा दुसरी लढाई .... एक म्हणावं लागेल ... अतिशय नाट्यमय आणि क्षणाक्षणाला वळणं घेणारी लढाई ... जिंकू किंवा मरू .. अशा त्वेषाने लढणारी दोन्ही सैन्य आणि स्वतःला महान समजणारी आम्ही मानवजात त्यांच्या युद्धाचे फटकारे झेलण्याशिवाय काहीही करू शकत नाही

खरंच अशी सुंदर संध्याकाळ ... आणि एक तास , प्रचंड नाट्यमय लढाई.. खरं तर शब्दात नाही सांगता आलाय मला...

The frog and the nightingale!

I remember this poem from High School. I always loved it.. The poem is about a frog teaching nightingale to sing! The frog claims that he can sing better and keeps telling the nightingale that she doesn't know how to sing.. She gives into it and after trying extremely hard to learn from frog ....one day she .... a sad ending..

नाही येत ग तुला गाता .... कदाचित तू शिकलीच नाहीस कधी ..... बेडकासारखा आवाज असावा लागतो ! मी शिकवतो तुला.. शिकवीन तुला गायचं कस... अतिशय गर्वाने बेडूक बोलत होता..  आणि त्याने आवाज काढला डररराववव .....

कोकिळा ऐकत होती बेडकाचं हे बोलणं .... ज्या पद्धतीने , ज्या आत्मविश्वासानं बेडूक बोलत होता , कोकिळेला धन्य धन्य वाटलं ... अर्रे वा असे गुरु मिळाले आपल्याला ...


आणि मग सुरु झाली तिची वाटचाल , कदाचित अंताकडे ... पण तिला माहित नव्हतं अजून .... बेडूक अतिशय गर्विष्ठपणे .... अतिशय गुर्मीत तिला कमी दाखवत तिला गाणं शिकवत होता .... ती जीव तोडून मेहनत करत होती ....

कालांतराने ती क्षीण होत गेली , कितीही प्रयत्न केले तरीही बेडकासारखा आवाज काही येईना .... प्रचंड मेहनत आणि कमीपणाची जाणीव ... हे सगळं सुरूच होतं ....

एक दिवस खूप पाऊस पडला , जंगलातलं तळ अगदी भरून गेलं होतं .... सगळे प्राणी पक्षी तळ्याच्या आसपास दिसत होते..
कोकिळेने तळ्यावरून उडताना , स्वतःच प्रतिबिंब पाण्यात पहिलं ... कशी होते मी आणि कशी झालीये !

तिच्या मनात विचार आला.. आणि त्या क्षणी , त्या एका क्षणात तिने ठरवले कि आता बेडकाच्या तालावर नाचणे बंद! मी माझा आवाज , कसाही असो तो.. मी माझ्या आवाजात गाईन ..

ती पुन्हा त्यांच्या नेहमीच्या जागेवर गेली , बेडूक कडाडला , "हि काही वेळ झाली यायायची ?" त्यावर कोकिळा म्हणाली , "धन्यवाद , आयुष्यातला सर्वात महत्वाचा धडा शिकवण्यासाठी ! "....एवढे बोलून ती उडून गेली ...  बेडकाला काही कळेना.... ती उडून गेली आणि स्वतःच आयुष्य मजेत घालवायला लागली .....

Jiyo re Bahubali!

The series continues and finally the question that has boggles millions has been answered!

"Why did Katappa kill Bahubali ?"

Don't worry , no spoilers in the post. Its worth watching the movie to find that out. The Grand sets , full on stunts , a family drama that spreads over three generations.. Is the storyline new? Not at all but the presentation is grand! No wonder its breaking all the records..

Anyways I am neither an analyst or have any intention of writing a review.. I just cant get over the tune "Jiyo re bahubali!!" ..and महिष्मती साम्राज्यं ....

The energy of the movie is vigorous!

It got me thinking and ... thinking... and thinking...

The Ship of Theseus

I have been pondering upon the Theseus's paradox all week long! Thats a long span of attention..
For those of us new to this though experiment, here is a brief description from wikipedia

The ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus's paradox, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object.

So the concept is if you replace all the components , would you still call it the same object? Reminded of few lines from sandep khare's sang sakhya re..

सरोवर मात्र अजूनही तिथेच ....

पण त्याच्याही पाण्याची वाफ किमान चारदा तरी आभाळाला भिडून आलेली
आता तर लाटा नव्हे पाणीसुद्धा नवयं कदाचित
पण तरीही जुन्याच नावाने सरोवराला ओळखतात सगळे !

असाच विचार करताना सुचलेल्या काही ओळी

कोण मी कोण मी
बिचारा आरसा देखील उत्तर देऊ शकत नव्हता
ती इतकी बदलली होती कि ती नक्की कोण हे आरश्याला नव्हे तर तिलाही ओळखू येत नव्हते
पुन्हा पुन्हा प्रश्न विचारून वेगळ उत्तर मिळणार नाही हे माहित असून देखील ती विचारात राहिली
तोच प्रश्न अजून एकदा आणि अजून एकदा
नक्की काय घडल होतं ? हि आरश्यात दिसणारी अनोळखी व्यक्ती कोण आणि कशी आली ?
कुठे गेली "ती" जी सापडत नव्हती स्वतःला ! कोण होती ती ?

असा विचार करताना तिला वाटलं कदाचित ती मी नव्हतेच!
हि अनोळखी , नव्याने सापडलेली मीच खरी मी असेन !
कदाचित नवी मी आणि जुनी मी हा प्रश्नच चुकीचा आहे !
रोज नव्याने स्वतःलाच सापडणं म्हणजेच आयुष्य का काय ते असेल

Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

It has been a good nerdy morning! Apart from one hour of less sleep, everything else seems good so far! So on with beautiful songs , multiple cups of tea , lovely weather and I can go on...

I came across the "Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle".

"In quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle, also known as Heisenberg's uncertainty principle, is any of a variety of mathematical inequalities asserting a fundamental limit to the precision with which certain pairs of physical properties of a particle, known as complementary variables, such as position x and momentum p, can be known." - Taken from Wikipedia.

So what it means is it is impossible to know the position and  the momentum of a particle at any given time. One can either know the momentum with higher accuracy or the location but not both.

What peaks my interest in this theorem is the concept of stillness related to it. You can either be still and be at a place or have a momentum to change the situation.. It is very difficult to have both..
If one wants to change the situations , momentum is needed... What a profound statement!  Sometimes it just makes so much sense..

I want to leave this quantum mechanics law open for your interpretation..

Going Healthy!

These days eating healthy has been one of the core discussions. Its not just about protein /carb in take and percentage in diet , it's much more..

Now we are debating about oats vs still cut oats (Reallllly!! LoL) , ceramic vs non stick pans , sea salt vs mountain salt, ceramic kettle vs cast iron kettles.... and the list goes on...

Few year ago , the discussions were simple (plastic vs glass containers , non fat vs whole milk and so on) .. Looks like things get complex with age! (Well unfortunately everyone has to age.. That discussion some other time)...

Coming back to the topic of healthy here... Being healthy is going to a different level all together.. Its not only what you eat , how you prepare it , what tools you use , how do you store it..

Its fun to discuss this with my mom and more fun to discuss it with grand mom.. My grand mom looks at me like I am from a different planet when I told her about the steel knife concept! My mom can be with me upto organic food and right fats.. But when it comes to vessels , she is done with me! The best comment is , I used all kinds of vessels and you never had any deficiencies and now you blame on the vessels for the bad lifestyle!!!

The game is never over!

Superbowl! Not really my cup of tea but I loved the final game! Especially the second half of the game. I was not really supporting any of the teams to begin with.. Then I started supporting falcons but after the half time oh my god! Patriots -  what a game! Coming from a single digit score to the championship! 

One thing Patriots never lost is their confidence , their hope in the game.. What a come back.. No one would have imagined.. A pure display of a wonderful game.. Perseverance ! Grit! Ability to give your best under pressure ... As you can see , I am totally shaken by this! 

Someone said to me later in the night -  "The game is never over!" To make is more cheesy , I am going to quote Akshay Kumar from Namastey London - A person is a winner unless he loses and as we know the game is never over!

Yes.. The game is never over! 

Keep fighting my warrior

Have the perseverance..

The grit..

Be yourself...

Doesn't matter what it is..

Doesn't matter how it is..

Everything changes..

For sure..

Someone told me to believe in it..

I did not.. And sometimes I still don't

But seems like it is true...

To believe.. To persevere....

It seems that situations change! 

It seems like you can win

And most importantly the game is never over!
