Follow the light : From "The Croods"

Wonderful movie.. Its about the struggle of world's first family to survive. The most important lesson it teaches is of :following the light" , not being scared of anything.. Beautifully made animation film..It captures different emotions and different kind of people inside family very well! The protective father , caring mother , angry grandmother , lazy son , naughty younger daughter and brave elder daughter.
One fine day , a "guy" comes to their life and their life changes for good. The guy teaches them about following your heart , solving problems with ideas rather than power , being courageous and most importantly follow the light.. I am too impressed with the screenplay and the story

I will leave you with the opening speech of the movie 

"With every sun comes a new day. A new beginning. A hope that things will be better today than they were yesterday. But not for me. My name is Eep. And this is my family, the Croods. If you weren't clued in already by the animal skins and sloping foreheads, we're cavemen. Most days we spend in our cave, in the dark. Night after night, day after day. Yep, home sweet home. When we did go out, we struggled to find food in a harsh and hostile world. And I struggled to survive my family. We were the last ones around. There used to be neighbors. Uh, the Gorts, smashed by a mammoth. The Horks, swallowed by a sand snake. The Erfs, mosquito bite. Throgs, common cold. And the Croods, that's us. The Croods made it, because of my dad. He was strong, and he followed the rules. The ones painted on the cave walls. Anything new is bad. Curiosity is bad. Going out at night is bad. Basically, anything fun is bad. Welcome to my world! But this is a story about how all that changed in an instant. Because what we didn't know was that our world was about to come to an end. And there were no rules on our cave walls to prepare us for that."

Life : Pointless ?? Hmmm

So after a long time, I was reading a book related to Life!
The book is "Bringers of Light".. Very interesting book to read..

One of the points mentioned in the book is "Life is Pointless! "

अर्ध जग आयुष्याचा point शोधण्यात अर्ध आयुष्य घालवत ! आणि इथे तर हा लेखक म्हणतो आयुष्याला काही point च नाही !! त्याचं म्हणण अस आहे कि आयुष्याचा point शोधण्यात काहीच अर्थ नाही ! कारण आयुष्याला काही point नसतो … लेखकाच्या मते हा "point" शोधण्यापेक्षा तो बनवणे जास्त योग्य आहे !

खूप वेगळा विचार वाटला मला हा … सामान्यतः आयुष्याचा अर्थ किंवा "so called point" शोधण्यात लोक आयुष्य घालवतात आणि संयासाश्रमात तो मिळाला नाही म्हणून मुक्ती शोधतात !

जाउदे एवढ सगळं मांडण्याचा माझा आयुष्याचा काही अनुभव नाही … फक्त एवढाच कि हा एक वेगळा विचार वाटला….

Moving Moving!!

पुन्हा एकदा moving! आधी खूप कमी सामान होत, आता हळू हळू सामान वाढायला लागलय ! आणि हे फक्त moving च्या वेळी कळत !! केवढ सामान असतं माणसाचं ! अशा वेळी मला अचान साधी राहणी आणि उच्च विचारसरणी वगैरे वगैरे वक्तव्य आठवायला लागतात ! मग एवढ सामान का घेतला असेन मी वगैरे वगैरे प्रश्न मला पडतात !

भांडी कुंडी , पुस्तक , कपडे , चपला , फर्निचर आणि काय काय गोष्टी !

दोन दिवस एकदम भरपूर मेहनत ! नवीन घरात येण्याचा उत्साह ! नवीन जागेशी नसलेला नातं …
सगळ एकदम मस्त असतं !

The Correlation Syndrom

काल एक मस्त पिक्चर पहिला "क्वीन" ! पिक्चर तर मस्त आहेच पण त्याबद्दल नंतर कधीतरी… आत्ता फक्त माझा मुद्दा समजवण्यासाठी जेवढा गरजेच आहे तेवढच ….

तर ह्या चित्रपटची नायिका एकदम सरळ साधी … लग्नाच्या एक दिवस आधी तिचा होणारा नवरा सांगतो कि तो तिच्याशी लग्न नाही करू शकणार … मग ती अगदी तुटून जाते … पण मग ती युरोप ला जाण्याचा (ते सुद्धा एकटी ) निर्णय घेते … तिथे तिला वेगवेगळ्या प्रकारची लोक भेटतात आणि बरेच चांगले वाईट अनुभव येतात ! तर हि गोष्ट आहे "ती " ची … "ती " उमलण्याची ! "ती " च फुलपाखरात रुपांतर होण्याची !

असो छान गोष्ट आहे । थोडक्यात काय , तर एक मुलगी स्वतःच अस्तित्व शोधते आणि स्वतंत्र होते !

पिक्चर मधून निघताना विक्रांत म्हणाला (एका बायकांच्या घोळक्याकडे बघून ) ," आता या सगळ्या बायका liberate होण्याचा विचार करणार !! "

खरच आपल्या मध्ये हा खूप मोठ्ठा problem असतो ! एखाद्या पिक्चर मध्ये काही दाखवला कि आपण लगेच त्याला relate करणार !!

जब वि मेट पहिला कि सगळ्या मुली बडबड करायला लागणार … विवाह पहिला कि लगेच arranged marriage च वेड  लागणार! ३ इडियट पहिला कि गळ्यात केमेरा दिसणार ! वेडेच असतो आपण ! लगेच त्या चित्रपटाची गोष्ट किती माझ्या आयुष्यशी निगडीत आहे , हे आपण शोधणार !

आता क्वीन बघून लगेच मला किती वाईट वागवलं जातंय याच रडगाणं ! अर्रे पिक्चर हा पिक्चर पुरता मर्यादित असतो हे कसा विसरतो आपण ? सगळ काही आपल्या आयुष्याशी जोडायलाच पाहिजे का ?

उगीच आपल !

आशा ...

Malaysian Airlines Flight 370.. खरी न वाटणारी घटना , खरच अस सुद्धा होउ शकत? एखादी घटना आणि त्यामागची असंख्य कारण ! खरच जगाला हादरवणारी घटनाच म्हणावी लागेल…

विमान लापत्ता होणे कमी कि काय म्हणून विमान चालकाच्या घरी "simulator" सापडणे … २ लोकांकडे खोटे पासपोर्ट , विमानाची बदललेली दिशा , २० लोक एकाच कंपनीचे … आणि असंख्य गोष्टी !

या  बातम्या बघताना खरच काही कळेनास होतंय मला…. आपण चंद्रावर आणि मंगळावर गेलो पण आज त्या २००+ कुटुंबांना दिलासा देण्यासाठी समुद्राच्या तळाशी नाही जाऊ शकत … असो हा विषय नाही…

मला या घटनेवरून एक स्पष्ट दिसतंय कि कोणत्याही गोष्टीच विश्लेषण हि खूप गुंतागुंतीची गोष्ट आहे … एखादी घटना सरळ साधी नसते , त्यामागे खूप खूप कारणे /  छुपे motives असू शकतात …

आज आपण सगळे इतक्या विचारात आहोत तर या २००+ कुटुंबियांची मनस्थिती कशी असेल याचा  अंदाज लावण सुद्धा अवघड आहे … खूप मनापासून वाटतंय कि  विमान मिळाव आणि सर्व हे सर्व लोक आपल्या आपल्या घरी  पोचावेत … जोपर्यंत काही निष्पन्न होत नाही तोपर्यंत आशा कायम आहे …

आशा

जर आशा आहे तोपर्यंत सगळ काही शक्य आहे , या आशेच्या बळावरच तर आपणा चालत असतो …
मला  हिंदी शब्द "उम्मीद " प्रचंड आवडतो … "उम्मीद ही तो सब कुछ है !"

सगळे गुंते सुटतील , बंद दरवाजे उघडतील ,
अर्धवट गणित सुटतील , अवघड प्रश्न सुद्धा सुटतील
पण हि आशा नको सोडूस , हरून नको जाउस

रणरणत्या उन्हात असलेल्या माणसाला मावळत्या सूर्याची आशा
थंडीत कुडकुडत असलेल्याला त्या तापलेल्या सूर्याची आशा
हि आशा आहे म्हणूनच तर ….

कुणाला प्रीयाजानांनी सुखरूप परतायची आशा
कुणाला संकटे टाळून जायची आशा
कुणी भेटेल अशी आशा … सर्व काही आधीसारखं होईल अशीशी आशाच !

The Big if else Phenomenon!

 Well, well well look who is getting into programming! Let me explain a little about the "if else" statements in programming languages for some of us who do not have any background in programming. When you are writing a code, you need to account for all possible situations and conditions. You are building your logic for what if this happens, what if that happens! So the widely followed syntax is

If (a happens)
         {Do B}
Else
         {Do C}

To make it a little more complex

If ( A happens)
         {Do B}
Else If (C happens)
          {Do C}
Else
          {Do D}



Hmmm.. Interesting! Are we not following a big big "If Else" code in our lives!! Its a built in code that determines everything in life!

For example : If I am hungry, I eat else I do not eat
or If you hit me , I will be hurt else (I will hit you back!!)

or If this happens , I am in good mood else .....

Wow! This is amazing.. Now that I am looking at everything as If else code, I have tons and tons of examples!

I love this concept of applying If else to everything!

मला सुद्धा पडलेत काही प्रश्न … उत्तरे शोधावीत कि नाही हा सुद्धा त्यातलाच एक!!

जीवाची होणारी घालमेल , कधी अचानक पणे स्वतःच अस्तित्व दाखवणारा "ताण"… काही गोष्टींसाठी कितीही केली तरी कमी पडणारी मेहनत …. आणि बरच काही … खर तर मी आत्ता जे लिहित आहे , ते लिहावं का हा सुद्धा एक प्रश्न , मला माहित नाही मी लिहित काय आहे आणि लिहायच काय आहे !

अचानक बदलणार वातावरण , कधी खूप ऊन , कधी गारठा , कधी बर्फ तर कधी पाउस ! धो धो पाउस , प्रचंड वारा … मला तर वाटतंय निसर्ग सुद्धा सगळे प्रयत्न करून बघतोय ! बघू बर , काय होतंय म्हणून …. 

हे जग जणू काही त्याचा "test bed" आहे !
