Sometime back I had written about making choices and the availability of multiple options..Not sure how useful is having/not having multiple choices is.. We had a nice discussion in the office the other day, one of my colleagues had a very interesting point of view. It was not about having multiple choices , it was about having a choice of saying "NO"!
She said, "If you have an option of saying "NO" , you will try to find the ways/reasons of not doing it but if you do not have that option, you will make it happen! "..I kept thinking about it later in the day and in the week. Was trying to debate from both sides, I guess.. Yes there have been some situations where I had an option of saying no, and may be that's the reason I did not say "YES"..Or there have been situations where I didn't have an option of saying "NO" and although it was tough, I could pull it through.. Also there have been situations where inspite of having the option of saying "NO" , we made it happen!
WoW , too many thoughts in my mind.. It really is a very simple yet powerful thought..It's all about how you tackle every situation.
